Along the coastline of Costa Rica lies Witch's Rock, or Pena Bruja. Witch's Rock is known as a local oddity. It is a large boulder that juts out of the ocean beside the Naranjo Beach by the Santa Rosa National Park. There is great surfing along Witch's Rock and many pictures featuring the landmark have been seen in Costa Rican publications. However, use caution when swimming beside the rock in January. I discovered this is jellyfish mating season and jellyfish stings are not fun.
